WOYWW

Linking up with Mrs. Dunnit for WOYWW ...for me it's what's on your dining room table, the floor and the kitchen table...

Getting Trying to get ready for the craft Fun Day this weekend, the 17th.  This is a huge craft fair, at least I think it is, 252 vendors..

Saturday evening, when we return home from the craft fair.. I WILL be storing and setting up the downstairs apartment!!  No more trekking through the house with craft items....sheesh. If I can't use the back deck stairs, because of my hip, I'll just walk around and down the side yard.

My hip/knee/leg to the ankle, continues to swell on and off...I am thankful that I have been blessed to live in such a way that I stay home, therefore am comfortable during this process. (staying in p.j.'s all day, it's very uncomfortable and awkward wearing jeans with one hip swollen)
Don't know what I would have done if I had to of left the house daily for work.

Here's to all my new You Tube crafting friends and my old blogging friends that are experiencing crunch time getting ready for Craft Fairs.....
Deep Breaths....

Be Blessed!

WOYWW and BRRRRRrrrrrrr

Remember I am still working in our little breakfast nook area.  When I can manipulate the stairs on the outside deck, without fear of slipping, I'll be back in the craft apartment...

Spent ALL day yesterday trying to make paper flowers.  If you have an easy technique please do share.

I also played on and off with the dry embossing and the embossing powder with different water based inks.

Gotta get back to serious work today.  Good day for it. It's about 45 or so (7.5c) and will not be warming up much.

Congratulations to our First Time Voter!!

Linking up with Mrs. Dunnit !

Busy Family - Get Out and Vote!

It's going to be nasty, nasty, nasty out the next few days.  Wet and cold!  Glad I'm restricted to what I can do when the weather is like this.  I will be getting to the polls though!! And so should you.
The artsy/fartsy bug has infected my entire household..
18 year old crocheting a baby blanket..NO! not for her.
14 year old writing a play
16 year old trying out my embossing powder.

A book box, an oval box and a small plaque I altered.
I have had two quite large craft hauls this week...so, so much fun!

If Jack Frost would go ahead and stop by briefly it would calm my anxieties about my gardens....
sigh.

Be Blessed.

The Last Couple of Days

I have tried my hand at  heat embellishing...and dry embellishing with my new toy...not picitured.

Actually the black and blue purse looking thing is my new embellishing machine, looks just like a little purse.
LOVE IT!

I altered this yellow notepad...

It will soon be in the mail Marydon.

And made this wood plaque...

Took A Break...

Saturday was our wedding anniversary.
Husband planned a two night stay at the IP Casino in Biloxi...
Here is the view from our room.

Bought 100.00 worth of chips at the roulette table,
played over four hours on it and walked away with this.
Just had to share as this was my very first purple chip!
LOOOOVE IT!
Enjoyed the much needed break.

Got news from the surgeon that I am 6 MORE weeks with just walking,
sitting and still keeping my hip at no
more than a 90 degree angle or yeah and no driving....
Now to get really busy as the next craft fair is Nov. 17th!
I was advised that I better be sitting the majority of the time I am there....uh oh...

Be Blessed!!

The Craft Market

This is the Sweet South Cottage they hosted their 1st Annual French Country Flea Market this past weekend and I was invited to participate.  It was an awesome experience!  There was such a sweet spirit that danced on the gentle breeze as we welcomed customers and visitors.  I would be honored to be invited again next year.
Here I am at our booth.  You can see the alcohol inks on the table to the left.  I had done a demonstration on inking tiles.  I was so surprised at the people who had NOT heard of this technique.  I have been asked to do a demonstration for the cottage at a later date.  I am also doing an experiment with the inked tiles and cannot wait to share the observations and results with you, good or bad.

Photographs don't lie, do they?  Uh yeah, I will be making some changes, like vertical interest to draw the customers in,.

I thought I had a wider view of the market with both sides of the vendor rows, guess not.  Our booth was the only colored one there, pink....the other ones were either white or a brownish.

This was the view across the field right behind our booth.
Seeing the sun rise over this house was magical.  Could have been a scene in a Disney movie.

All and all it was a great experience and I look forward to the next craft fair November 17th at Bradley's Country Store.

Be Blessed!

A Short Stroll

I took a short stroll around some of my gardens.  We live at the bottom of a hill, seriously.  I don't know that we have one level square foot anywhere on these two acres. Hence the short stroll, uneven ground and crutches, not a good mix.

You may see the gorgeous healthy mass of sedum..
I see all the grass and weeds that don't normally live there.
A neighboring container of Jewel Leaf Sedum.
apparently they can handle some neglect from the gardener
Mexican Petunia with uncontrolled Ornamental Potato Vine
Self seeded, not supposed to be there Celosia
More of the same but different....uncontrolled  Ornamental Potato Vine.
Rooted Diamond Frost Euphorbia, weeds and  uncontrolled Ornamental Potato Vine.
Uncontrolled Ornamental  Potato Vine, grass/weeds overgrowing my bottle border...
After my short stroll, I looked a lot like this defeated Sunflower.  I dropped my head and headed back in the house.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'll continue working towards the craft fairs silently planning my counter attack on the garden while I continue to heal.  Which by the way, my dear garden, is coming along very nicely!
