Bloomin' Tuesday and Medical Update

Joining up with Ms. Jean for Bloomin' Tuesday .  It's either HOT or stormy around my area...we even had hail two days in a row.  I was outside for less than 15 minutes today taking these photos and was dripping with sweat when I came back in.
Amaranth -- Joseph's Coat.  It self seeds here and there and LOVES the heat!

Plumbago -- am I supposed to prune this ever?
I have had it for 3 or 4 years

Garden Phlox -- Nikki.

Garden Phlox -- David.

Knockout Roses...these are the regular, I personally prefer the Double Knock Out Roses, they have more petals and stay cleaner looking longer.  I have two very large pink doubles.

Stunted Glads.....

Went to the surgeon yesterday.  I do have a labral tear in my hip, in the hip socket where the ball sits there is a thick lining for cushion.  That is what's torn.  I start Physical Therapy the 26th for a few weeks then back to the surgeon for re-evaluation.  I also got a knee injection.  I have had 5 injections throughout my body and this was one of the worst.  Not only did it bring me to tears, by the time I got home I was sick to my stomach which caused me to miss opening night of Vacation Bible School.  I am one of two clowns for opening and closing Assembly. That is one of the reasons for my absence on blogger, VBS preparation.
Lord willing, I'll be there tonight!

Why do I have problems with my text showing up on every post? I end up deleting half of what I write...sheesh

My photo's are not downloading right, they were up side down.
Sure hope therapy makes you much, much better.

It may be an adjustment you need to make while you are making the post or go into Customize and adjust the fonts and colors there. I was able to see what you wrote by hi-lighting the text.

I do hope you get to feeling better, my worst shot ever was into my heal for plantar fasciitis. I actually screamed out! And that is so not me. The Doc thought I was having a heart attack but I wonder if he's ever had a what seemed like a nail shoved into his tender heal>=!!

I love the plumbago and your phlox, Darla! I can identify with you regarding the heat. It's oppressive and it's so easy to get overheated and get into trouble (dehydration/heat exhaustion). Be careful out there! Good luck with your hip and knee. I am sorry you are having to go through this. Glad you have a diagnosis and a plan for treatment though.

Oh Darla Dear, I'm so sorry about the injection. For you to be brought to tears and sick, it must have been horrific! I'm so sorry. I'll pray for you. Please keep us posted.

I don't know why you are having trouble with your text --but somehow you may be using white on white... Change your text in those areas to black (on white)....?????

So sorry about your latest medical problem. I am so sorry you have had and are having lots of problems... May God Bless You...

Hope you were able to 'clown' tonight..
Hugs,
Betsy

So sorry about your hip and other problems. I hope the therapy and injection will help. Clowns shouldn't have to be laid low with ailments. Clowns should have fun all the time!
The heat and humidity has been hard to deal with. Staying inside where it's air conditioned is my plan;-)
Hugs,
Dorothy

Darla,
Bless your heart, I know how you feel. Somedays I think I'm just falling apart. I would contact Blogger, they've helped me figure out stuff before. You aren't the only person this is happening to, I also saw it on another blog.

Darla I just found a thread about your text problem. Blogger is aware of it and is working on it.

Brett from Blogger Jul 17 (16 hours ago)

We have a fix in the works for this and it should be live soon. In the meantime, you can post from Firefox and the highlighting shouldn't appear at all.

Thanks for your patience.

Oh dear it's been such a bad year for you. I do hope all gets well soon and maybe without more surgeries. Hang in there. You'll make it to VBS as you are strong.

Darla girl I am so sorry you have been sick from those injections .. I have my fingers crossed for you that it will kick in and give you some relief .. and you get to do your thing for opening night !
You are way ahead of us with the lily thing because you are hotter and steamier (sounds too naughty eh?) for a longer and earlier period of time than we have been.
Feel BETTER girl !!!

Darla you are in a if it rains it pours situation both literally and figuratively aren't you.

Hope that you are feeling so much better soon, those needles are nasty.

I fainted when they did my shoulder, but it's their fault, I did tell them that I didn't want to hear the play by play...

Hi Darla! Girl that gladiola is so bright and pretty. And I love the blue garden phlox. I could not understand why I was not getting any postings from you. Then I remembered I had clean up my Google Readers list. I had a couple of your blogs on it and I deleted the wrong one.LOL!
So I am so sorry to hear about the problems with your hip. I will be praying for you for healing. You have been through enough of this stuff lately.

Ouch! Hope you get the hip issues under control quickly. I have occasionally got to have shots in my knee & hips more often for my arthritis. Yes, they sure can make one very sick afterwards. So sorry you are going thru this.

Love your florals but that gladiola is fabulous, Darla.

Have a great weekend

Ooo, I got a twinge of pain just reading that last paragraph! I do hope you managed to feel better and got to the show. I so enjoyed your lovely blooms. The stunted Glads are wonderful, and I loved the Phlox. The Plumbago always stands out, and the Amaranth is fantastic. What luck that it self-seeds so well.

Darla, I'm sorry to hear of your physical problems! Not fun at all! I pray that you get relief and healing SOON. Beautiful glads! Mine didn't bloom as well this year, likely because of the drought. It's affected so many things...

I am sorry the treatments are hitting you so hard. I so hope for you to be well.
The Joseph's coat is stunning!!!
Won't self seed here. I bring it in each winter.
As for your text, when I hightlight over your "blank" boxes, I can read it. I think the white font may be part of the problem. Somehow, the background color is getting turned off and since it goes white when off, it's making your text disappear. Try changing the font color and see if it helps. Good luck!

That is the only way have success with sunflowers as well! We started using shelled seeds in the feeders this year so doubt we shall ever have any volunteer bloomers again. Sure makes less mess under the feeders too but a bit pricey.
