Fertilizer/Flaunt Friday

Linking up with Tootsie for Fertilizer/Flaunt Friday......
A rescued Gerbera Daisy from Wal-Mart for $1.50, score!

One of my wheelbarrows.  There is a Diascia on the left and one on the right.  The one on the left is Diascia Coral the regular type.  The one on the right is, drum roll please, Diascia Darla!  How cool is that?  Anyway, the Darla series is more compact and the leaves seem to be a little larger and more jagged.

White Wisteria has a few more blooms than last year.  And it's fragrance is divine.

Love this darker purple Larkspur.  Becky, I hope you can see the foliage on the Larkspur.

I would love to have more of this pink Larkspur.  I'll be saving the seeds for sure!!

Clematis on the lattice, it is always a wonderful performer.

I declare these Clematis blooms are the size of my hand.

I had the cortisone injection in my hip this past Wednesday afternoon.  I took a couple of xanax before the procedure so I was nice and relaxed.  Therefore the procedure went smooth as silk.  Thank you Lord.  I was in the bed the entire day on Thursday, taking pain meds and half a day on Friday.  Friday afternoon I managed to walk around the gardens and take these photos. It can take up to 3 weeks to get full relief.

We are having a nice slow rain today, the soaker kind.  We need it as we are already over 4 inches behind for the year and finished 2011 way below average.

What a great find the Gerbera Daisy was Darla. Your Diascia looks so pretty with it in the wheelbarrow.
I love your white wisteria. I would love to get one but if it took 14 years to bloom like my blue one I would likely not live long enough to see it bloom. LOL! That pink Larkspur is pretty. Mostly all you see is the blue but the pink looks more dainty. Have a wonderful weekend.

Anything with fragrance is a bonus in a garden. And blooms to boot? Wow.

You need a postive comment about the injections? My husband had them in his back for leg pain. Sometimes it takes more than one to get the desired effect. I hope you're feeling much better by now.

I'm glad you found a white Loropetalum. I'm grateful for rain all over the Floridan aquifer. We've had close to a half inch so far.

Wisteria? Clematis? I still think you live on some other planet, Darla! Wonderful! What about wisteria? Does it agressively spread as they say?

You have a flower named for you! :-)
The pink larkspur is sure pretty. I hope you get some seeds. My larkspur self seeds and usually I get some pink in there.
Hope you continue to feel better.

I hope your hip gets to feeling better soon! I know how much you want to be outside getting your hands dirty.

My clematis and wisteria has not bloomed yet. I don't guess it is time yet here. Everything is early bloomers here though. I guess the hot weather. So glad your procedure went well. I hope it helps. I am about to the point of getting something done to my shoulder. You will have to give us updates on how you are feeling.

I love those slow rains. We had a nice rain like that off and on yesterday and last night. I see the foliage on it and mine isn't larkspur. I sure was hoping. Why did my seeds have mold on them and they stuck together. I had them in a RX bottle. Love your clematis. The wheel barrow looks so nice - love the plant combination.

Your clematis are stunning! Love that pink larkspur too. I planted the red breadseed poppies (inside) that you sent me last fall. I'm really looking forward to seeing them in my garden this summer. Hope you get to feeling better. Gardeners need good legs!
Happy Easter!

Well, I declare this is good news all the way around. Thank you Lord that you didn't suffer with the injection. Thank God for Xanax!! And I'm so glad you're getting rain. I hope it continues on a regular basis to keep your garden and its owner happy! I love Diascia and that wisteria is just so pretty. Love your Clemmies and the Larkspur are also pretty. You're miles ahead of us in the what's-blooming-now department.

Darla,
Did spring come earlier in your area like it did in Nebraska and other places? It sure looks like summer there!

I haven't been keeping up well, so I don't know what was going on with your hip. I have had cortizone injections for pain before, and they did help. The pain came back with time for my tennis elbow and plantar faciitis, though. I hope your hip heals soon.

Have a blessed Easter!
