I am linking up with Fishtail Cottage for her Thursday Cottage Garden Party and Tootsie for Fertilizer Friday.
We have been receiving rain every afternoon the last several days. It's been wonderful, ready for a couple of dry days now.
Hubby has tomatoes!
Nasturtiam in a strawberry planter with Toffee Twist, I have two of these planted the same.
I have had this Stokes Aster for about 15 years or more. It came with me from my previous home. About a month ago I moved it as it was smothered by a Lacecap Hydrangea. Very impressed by the way it handled the move, no attitude whatsoever.
Black and Blue Salvia
Another photo of this Mophead because I think it's gorgeous!
I have posted the purple and the light pink with the yellow center Glads, now this fuschia colored one is blooming. I also saw some red peeking out of another one yesterday. AND I have about 60 or so more bulbs... :)
Althea or Rose of Sharon Double
I wish you all could see this Althea Single in person, Wowzers!
Enlarge this drawing....p-e-r-f-e-c-t-! Our youngest drew it...
I finished this set of four tiles last night, just need to pour the resin now.
Played around with these two tiles as well. Ignore the dominoes, they turned out too dark.
I want to thank everyone for all the encouraging words about my crafts. It's like gardening, you learn by trial and error. I do hope to enter some craft fairs come fall. Clicking the wheelbarrow photo in my sidebar will take you to my FB business page. Let me know if you have a business page so I can like it.

Hi Darla, So nice to meet you and and I so enjoyed my visit to your lovely blog. What a talent you are.
Your flowers are beautiful and your tiles are awesome.
Thank you for stopping by and your kind comment. It was a hard decision to paint my piano, but so glad I did. Not sure why it was so hard to decide after the hundreds of furniture pieces I painted through the years. Must have been the thought of never seeing the original again except in pics. Oh well, glad I painted in the end.
Have a nice weekend.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
My Stokes Aster is new, but I am very impressed with it already. I can imagine yours is fabulous after 15 years! Wowser is right about that althea! Gee, I was proud of mine - before I saw this photo! ;)

Good luck with your new venture too.
The blue salvia is really nice. A true blue. You are really doing a great variety of crafts. I see plenty of plant inspiration in them.
Your garden photos are just beautiful... wow, tomatoes already, lucky you!... xoxo Julie Marie
Such a beautiful deep color on that Glad. Interesting about your Stokes aster. I have one that barely made it through the winter, the mild winter, and now is NOT blooming.
Gorgeous ---Gorgeous---Gorgeous... I especially love the Althea. What a beauty!!!!
Keep working on those gorgeous art/craft projects.... They are GREAT.
Hugs,
Betsy
Now that will be fun doing the craft fair, the flowers look great. Send up some of your rain to us.
such gorgeous blooms in your garden - i can only imagine what that Althea must look like! thank you so much for linking up to Fishtail Cottage's Garden party this week! xoxo, tracie
You know the Stokesia is a Native? They love being divided and moved, so their fleshy roots can stretch into new soil, like Shasta Daisies do.
Love the flowers, and am a teeny bit envious of the tomatoes you already have, since we just put ours in the ground the other day.

This is my first time to your blog--found you through Tootsie Time garden party. Wow--green tomatoes already! Too cold here-mine aren't even in the ground yet. I had black and blue salvia and loved it, but it died out over the winters here--a bit too cold for it, I guess. The deep rose glad is gorgeous, as is the rose of Sharon shrub. I've got roses and clematis starting to bloom now--my favorite time of year in the garden! I love the charming tiles as well. We have two business/fan pages on facebook: for my gardening blog, Minerva's Garden, and our cabaret work, McElrath Cabaret--hope you enjoy them!
Darla, your flowers are beautiful. You have a nice variety of plants. We have blooms on our tomato plants. Can't wait to see some like the ones you showed. I like the tiles you did. You are a talented lady!------ Shannon
Nice to see those new growths isn't it?
I'm impressed with your Stokes' Aster. I have killed, let's see... 3 of them at least and I've finally given up. I love the flowers though and it makes me sad that my garden is inhospitable to them. I just enjoy yours vicariously.
Your daughter is so talented. Beautiful drawing.
