FF and Cottage Garden Party

It's either raining or so hot and humid you can't stand it for long outside here in North Florida.  I do grin when I read about the northern gardener's complaining of the heat as I am sure they grin when we complain about the cold in winter.

Here is my offering for FF over at Tootsie's and  Cottage Garden Party over at Fishtail Cottage...both of these parties start later tonight.

Profusion pink Zinnias
The next three  photos are of the same area, Susans, Coneflowers, Zinnias, Cosmos, and Blue Bedder Salvia in the full sun garden.

Bright yellow pom pom Marigolds with newly planted gifted Day Lily, color unknown and Blanket Flower.

Jane Cowell Hibiscus second year in this container
Hibiscus don't seem to mind being root bound...will replant in the fall.

Painted Lady Hibiscus third year in this container, I do house both of these Hibisus in the greenhouse over the winter months.
It must not mind being root bound either....will replant in the fall.

Those pink Zinnias are so pretty. I love the way they fade to white in the center. I wish we could grow Zinnias better here. Well, they will grow, but they like heat and don't really take off. Same problem with Tithonia. I've done them in pots from seed, but they just don't like our cool summer.

Hi Darla,
Your flowers are beautiful! I know it must be hard to grow them in Florida. We lived in Florida for five years and I know its a lot different gardening then in the north. Thank you for visiting me and leaving such a lovely comment.

Thanks for stopping by and helping me name that plant...Mom of Millions is certainly an appropriate name...I guess I should put it in a more circular pot so that the babes can have room to drop and grow. I finally bought my first Hibiscus last week..hope I have as much luck as you!!!!

Sheesh, Darla Dear. I'm so behind on reading your blog. (And everyone else's.) I love your washer pendant. So cool. I'm simply going to have to get serious about placing an order.

Your flowers are amazing, as usual. I'm glad you're getting rain but sorry about the humidity. I hope Debby moves off to the ocean blue very soon. :) Take care.
