Watery and Wordless Wednesday

Most of you know that we have needed rain in our part of the world. Why does if have to rain so much so quickly? 1 and 7/10's in less than two hours. Don't get me wrong, I am thankful for the rain....

It's just too much at a time when you live at the bottom of the neighborhood. Thank you 2sweetnsaxy at http://waterywednesday.blogspot.com for hosting this meme.

We too, live at the low end of our street and have had a pool where we didn't put one:(

Your wordless post leaves me . . . speechless!

Haha, that's a lot of water there. I love the raindrops on that first photo.

Catmint is right, feast or famine. I bet rain water does collect fast living at the bottom of the hill.

It poured at my house too. That picture you took of the rain is so beautiful Darla! Last summer I finally found a bird feeder that, so far, the squirrels have not been able to get into. It's called the "Eliminator" and I got it at Wild Birds Unlimited. It's actually fun to watch them try to raid it, because they get so frustrated.

Darla: That is truly flooding conditions with that much rain. I love your downspout shower photo. I had a feeder broken the other day and made a major modification on a wooden type.

It's been really dry in Bermuda this spring. It's quite unusual. When the rain comes...(I think I'd better start building the ark now)

Our part of the country in in dire need of water. We will begin water mandatory cutbacks this month. Wish we had some of your rain!

Tons of rain here too. I'm not complaining though-we need to build up a good buffer before heat sets in. But enough for now-can't we save it for summer??

I hear you.. we have been having a lot of rain here in Texas...my grass is getting so tall but haven't been able to mow because of it being so wet..heat wave suppose to hit tommorrow...

It's been pouring here too. I hope it dries out for us and moves to the places it's needed.
I love the squirrel picture!

I wish we could get one good rain a week. How perfect would that be. But instead we get 8" at a time! We were on the same rain band apparently.

Lordy Darla send that rain to us! We are desperate for some!

Hi Darla, thanks for visiting my blog. I am enjoying looking at your great photos. You have some wonderful photography skills. Not much rain here over the past couple of weeks, but I know the daily afternoon downpour will be kicking into high gear soon!

Cheers,
Sue.

Great rain shots!! Sorry you got so much, we would gladly take some around here. I looked at all your flower photos, and they are amazing. I love macro flower shots as you can see all the amazing detail that makes up the blossoms..They are truly works of wonder. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day!

Glad you got rain, but sorry it flooded you. No rain here, but everynight around 6 it gets cloudy. Even with city water the plants aren't growing. They need rain water and heat to grow.

Rainy Wednesday is right. It sure is pouring at your house. Those ornery squirrels. I am glad they haven't found my feeders yet. I have four of them that play around near the house.

Very nice photos. Sorry about how the water runs down to your place!

I think we have to learn to appreciate what we have when we get it. Your photos are really great.

What's the old saying, when it rains, it pours? It's usually true. I like the ripples in the water from the raindrops in the first photo and I had to smile at that last shot.

It has been raining here in Helen too but not as bad as they predicted. I always love your pictures. You must have a great camera. I tried to capture the rain in a picture and it didn't even show up.

Nice pics Darla, but if you wanna send some of that rain our way, we'll take it. We haven't had rain for three or four weeks now and we're under watering restrictions. We're just parched here in FL and we have wildfires everywhere to boot.

Guess it really is feast or famine isn't it??

Wow that is an enormous amount of rain in one shot, hope all are well and safe.

We have been getting too much, spread over a month or so. I keep telling myself the daylilies will be awesome this year. The more spring rain the more blooms on the daylilies.

We got 6" in one night, then 4" more, ok for us at the 'top' of the hill, not so ok for others. Newsman said we are still 2" below where we should be-hard to believe when you see the overflow. Stay safe.

Darn squirrels! I understand about the water all at once. We've had about 4 inches in 24 hours. You know that downspout hose you took a very cool picture of---well---our water came down so hard that it blew it right off to the middle of the yard.

Hi Darla. Your photos are amazing! I love the first one. I hope you didn't get too much water in your yard.

I didn't read your other comments, so don't know if your question about who sponsors Wordless Wednesday. I don't know off hand, but have a link to the page you can link to in my sidebar. I don't link to it myself, though.
