A Wonderful Weekend!

Swallowtail.......right Leedra?
The Sunflower over the weekend, haven't looked at it today.

Agapanthus

Blackeyed Susan on steroids.

Look how many have grown together. Reminds me of a celery stalk.
Hubby bought me two truck loads of mulch.

One of the flower beds where the mulch was spread.

It's beginning to fill in nicely.

Thought the sun shining through this Caladium was neat.

Calla's are doing good.

One of the two chairs I received for mother's day. Yeah, that's me trying it out.
I do hope all of you had a wonderful weekend celebrating Mother's Day.

So nice to see the happy blogger behind the blog. That mulch sure does bring all together and the sunflower, well, a ray of sun.

Your garden looks terrific, and I like your new chairs. We are leaving for Tallahassee tomorrow and should be home by late Tues. night or Wed. I can't wait to see my garden.

Well, you look like you had a great mothers day. You look so relaxed in that chair even though I know how much work you do. Your garden is beautiful.

Sounds like a great weekend! Great picture of the butterfly on the butterfly bush!
What a great husband, I love getting new mulch around the plants.

Those Calla Lilies get me every time. Absolutely great. Your Agapanthus is ahead of mine (maybe it's because we haven't had rain in 6 weeks!) That truck full of mulch is eerily familiar. It think I'm on my sixth!

Darla: What a great butterfly you captured. I love your Sunflowers. Your chair is a neat Mother's Day gift for enjoying your garden.

Hi Darla~~ Nice Adirondack. I love the color. And ah, yes! The finishing mulch touch. Your garden looks great!

The celosia seedlings are coming along. I think I started them too early. Now that it's starting to warm up they're looking a little more perky. I saw a seed packet for a similar species and it warned not to start them too early since they're sun and heat lovers. Too bad I didn't see this BEFORE I started them. :)

Your garden is filling in beautifully & that mulch really sets off the plants nicely. I always say it's the icing on the cake. ;) Your lime green chair looks comfortable & will give a nice splash of color to the garden. Sounds like you had a lovely Mother's Day Darla!

What more could you want for Mother's Day than a truckload or two of mulch! Your husband knows the way to your heart.
No wonder you're relaxing at last - that's such a gorgeous display of flowers.

Glad you had a nice Mother's Day Darla! I went to the Parade of Homes with my daughter and grandkids. It was fun but exhausting!

You did have a nice Mother's Day! I love everything in your garden. Especially the caladiums and calla lilies.

Hi Darla, mulch and chairs, now that is a great mother's day. I especially liked the photo of girls weeding tomatoes. It could be an artistic study in a triptych, three paned painting. Think impressionist school, merely the suggestion of the forms and colors rather than realism school. You could hang it above your fireplace, if you have a fireplace. We do not. HA

Hi Girlie, Miss me??????? I'll admit that I missed you and all of your gorgeous flowers. You need to have an Open House in your yard!!! It is just gorgeous.

But the best part is seeing that beauty sitting in her new green chair!!!!!

A truck load of mulch, nothing would make me happier;) Don't gardeners get excited over the strangest things? Your blooms and butterfly are beautiful. Haven't seen any butterflies up here yet, still pretty chilly.
