Hi!

I messed around with the computer over the weekend, either I did something right or it just decided to straighten up on it's own. Could have been all of the bad weather we had.....
I went to the nursery over the weekend, big shocker there, right? I purchased this new container from Home Depot. I planted Oxblood Coleus with some Sweet Potato Vine. Should make a nice contrast. The Coleus is sun loving and the color intensifies with heat. Over to the left the dark colored plant is Black Varnish (Pseuderanthemum) foliage plant. Plants purchased at the local nursery.
Just look at this Hibiscus........so many buds!
I just tickle myself when I get something to root. I took a cutting of this Althea, Rose of Sharon, Hibiscus family last summer. It's a double ! Thanks Judy...

This is my Single Althea, Rose of Sharon in the garden.
Firebush
It's about 2 feet tall now, should double in size by the end of the season.

I love this color Gerbera Daisy.
We can't decide if this Gerbera is an off white or a very pale yellow.
Glads are blooming. I am so tired of these plants!

I stumbled, literally, on these Sunflowers blooming in the full sun garden. Guess they liked all of the rain.

Now to play catch up with you all!!

as for the sleep....NO I don't sleep a lot...right now I have horrible insomnia! It does give me time to do those other things lol...I am kind of an owl...do my best decorating late at night when the kids sleep...and when it is too dark to play in the dirt...in the morning...I do my chores...until the dew dries up enough...then I am off to the gardens! never rest for the wicked! lol
we didn't get that snow we were supposed to get...I don't think anything even froze last night...thank goodness for that...I was stressing all night long about that!

Gorgeous, Darla.. Love both the single and double Rose of Sharon.

Looks like the rain has helped this year. Another blogger from FL (Meems) said that many of her flowers that don't usually bloom much-are really blooming well this year, due to the rain.

Isn't it amazing that by what Mother Nature does, every year our flowers are all just a little different.

Hugs,
Betshy

They are all gorgeous as always Darla! I was out of town for a few days and missed the tornado, but heard about it. So glad your husband got through it OK. Tornadoes scare me so much! By the way I don't live too far from where I took my blog pic for today, just off OB Rd but closer to town. I happened to be out there looking at a house my daughter wants to buy and saw those signs and turned around so I could take the picture.

They are all looking so good like a happy yard with happy family living there.

The Rose of Sharon is quite beautiful. How could you tire of those gladiolas?

Those sunflowers are wonderful. I hope the ones I planted are as colorful when they bloom.

Love the gerbera daisies too. I didn't plant any this year but usually have a few.

I'm glad you got your computer straightened out, maybe it doesn't like the heat? ;) Looks like your flowers are responding to it however. :) I love your new container & plants.

Darla how do you do it? I just cannot get anything but hydrangeas to take root. What a pretty little double bloom your new one has. I love the white hibiscus. We always have room for one more pot and one or two or.... plants.

I love the sunflowers and how nice that they are the special varieties. Tell Tootsie it's not too late to plant sunflowers. I stagger mine planting of them and get a good long bloom time. It's the only thing I do that with. All your blooms are perfect and so lovingly you.

I'm so glad you are OK from the storms. Sorry I did not see that sooner. Too much drama going on in my life. Not good.
