Cosmos, Purple Coneflowers, Forget Me Nots and part of the Cleome to the left.
Mailbox containers placed in the center of the Liriope.
Purple Coneflower Echinacea purpurea, Forget Me Knots and Marigold.
I like the blue mixed in here. Because I was unsure of the nature of Forget Me Nots, this is a container placed in the other flowers.
Black Eyed Susans Rudbeckia in the back. My wheel barrow needs to be replanted, the two weeks of rain we had saddened the Petunias. The Sage to the left and bottom right looks good.
Black Eyed Susan, Rudbeckia aka Muppet Flower..... Top
Front--Look how thick the stem is.
Back. Did you know that the Rudbeckia is the host plant for Silvery Checkerspot butterfly caterpillar?
Phlox
The Purple Coneflowers Echinacea purpurea are really starting to put on a show.
That's it for This and That Thursday!

Gorgeous! All. ;~)
I love your photos, monarda is one of my faves I have the purple one
Everything is so bright and beautiful...I especially like the tiny pops of blue from the forget-me-nots and have made a mental note to add them next year.
Question on the muppet flowers - are they mutant or are they supposed to grow that way? I must have missed the post where you explained them.
Love coming here as always ;)
Marsha: Mutant for sure! I have some strange things happen with my flowers.
No, I din't know that. And I didn't know that aloe blooms either. I'll have to work on that one with my aloe.
I love seeing all that echinacea! I just can't wait to see them here. I have a tall red monarda called 'Jacob Cline' that looks a lot like yours. The hummingbirds go crazy over it.
My mother had aloe for years and this is the first time I've seen one bloom! Good for you!--Randy
Darla - I love the coneflowers. As usual everything is looking so good in your neck of the woods. I would love to visit your place one day.
Gorgeous...bee balm is just getting ready to bloom. I am telling ya that I am a good week behind you bloom time!
I've never seen an aloe bloom! And don't you just love it when "annuals" return the next year! Love it!
WOW, all very beautiful!!!
You really have a GREEN thumb!!
Take care
Your flowers are nothing short of spectacular !
Looking around at your photos makes my heart soar everything in bloom and so beautiful!
Thanks for sharing....
You have beautiful color in the garden, I specially like the coneflowers
It ridiculous how beautiful it is over there in your yard! :)
I love how you mix it up. Love your mailbox bed with the lirope surrounding the flowers. Your bee balm, does it get mildew?
Lovely flowers and lots of different ones which I like. I envy you the coneflowers - every time I try to grow them they die on me.
Everything is filling in nicely Darla. I love the plantings around the mailbox, clever you to tuck the containers behind the Lirope. :)
The plant you ask me about is call Black Magie Elephant Ears.

I like "this and that" for a post. Very nice! The sweet potatoes can be eaten after they are finished, but I didn't know they could come back. I guess we have some kind of potato vine that does, but the nursery people had told us it was an annual. It grows huge each year.
Hi Darla, as usual everything in your garden is blooming beautifully! The tornado story is a bit scary, we don't have them over here Thank God.
Just BEAUTIFUL, Darla! I never knew Aloe plants bloom!! And that Rudbekia..strange!
More gorgeous flowers, Darla. Your yard must be a show-place. WOW!!!
I have never seen an Aloe bud/bloom. I didn't even know that they bloom. I have one in a pot--and we use it for burns, etc.
Love that white butterfly bush.. Gorgeous!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
Wow. Your yard is glorious. My mouth dropped open looking at that Rhuda-something flower. I've never seen anything like that before.
Your garden is absolutely fabulous. You have so many beautiful flowers -- I don't think I could pick a favorite.
gorgeous garden randomness ... one of my favourite colour combinations is the orange and blue in the marigold and forget me not.
