Bloomin' Tuesday on Monday.... :)

Finally!  The hole digging culprit!  I don't mind these culprits though.  I do however get concerned about the snakes eating the turtle eggs and then living in their holes....sigh
My husband saw him walking on the driveway yesterday afternoon, his shell is covered in soil.

My heart goes out to everyone located where the floods are taking place.  We have been receiving rain at some point everyday for the last couple of weeks, well actually since school has been out.  The girls still have  not been able to get in the swimming pool because of the unstable atmosphere...we get random lightning flashes/strikes when our weather is like this.
White Diamond Frost Euphorbia, Proven Winners -- containerized with a sign from DesignsbyDarlaG.
On top of the metal crate...two types of Sedum from Grace a year two ago.  A Semp (hen) in the ceramic tennis shoe.
Below the crate, ceramic frog with watering can, Marigolds and Celosia.
The rest of the Celosia from above in comparison to a small strawberry container.
Some of the Purple Coneflowers that have been here for about 8 years or so.
Just can't get enough of the Dolly Madison!
The Zinnias and the Susans are starting to bloom.

Here is a larger picture of the Turk's Cap...It's probably 2 ft tall and about 2 1/2 to 3 ft wide.  It will get much larger by the end of the summer.  This one is in full sun....easy peasy to root.

Linking up with Jean
Hope your weekend was a good one......see ya Wednesday for WOYWW..

Darla,
Your containers look lovely. I just didn't get around to doing any of mine this week. Seems like something is just bound and determined to keep me out of the garden every summer. Beats all I've ever seen. I've never seen Dolly Madison before. She's absolutely gorgeous. You know, if I had it to do all over again I think I would make an entirely pink garden!

That frog is too cute! Lucky you having the turtles come to visit.
You have an amazing array of blooms. Enjoy the rain!

Hi Darla. Why do we always have weather in extremes anymore. I hope not too much damage occurs from the flooding. The zinnias are just so pretty and so is the Euphorbia. I got one this year for a container so know little about it. Do you shear yours back any to keep it blooming?

Dolly is still stunning.
Interesting that the turtle has been such a regular resident. I've only seen one turtle in our garden and I'm sure he was lost.

Your pink and red flowers are amazing -- the Dolly Madison gorgeous and the zinnias sooo beautiful!

I didn't even know about "flooding" until you mentioned it on my blog. You're right -- we need a little of that rain in Colorado! Thanks for your nice comment. - Suzanne

Those Dolly Madisons are absolutely stunning, aren't they? I love that deep pink color. Your coneflowers look amazing. Love the Celosia too.

Dang snakes. I hope they don't get the turtle eggs. This guy is too cute.

I'm glad you're not getting flooded. I bet everything is lush and green. How nice that you don't have to water. I hope the lightening goes away though. Hugs.

How fun to have a turtle in your garden!

I love the Celosia. It never grows very nice for me.

I have not even planted my zinnia seeds and you have blooms already!

It was in the 90's here yesterday and tonight we have frost warnings. Weird weather!

Oh dear on all the rain, our area has received too much rain also but thankful to not have any flooding. Although there are warnings for people when they head out to the waters as the levels are high and the currents swift.
The flowers are beautiful, I am loving the colors you have going on especially Dolly Madison.

Hi Darla,
Lovely blooms and what a fun garden friend, escept for the digging :-)
yes I am on the fence with the chalk paint too, though, I learned you can distress it with a damp rag, instead of sanding (chalk paint sanding dust is horrible!!!) so I am doing my upstairs furniture th dust free way :-)

We had a major downpour here last night. I love it! It has been cool and wonderful for gardening. I wish it would last but I know it will be back up near 100 degrees soon!
