A Few of My Containers...

I thought this was a lovely shot of the Morning Glory growing in my twisted Wisteria. I haven't been able to do alot in the yard lately, bummed up my neck somehow and it's causing discomfort in the shoulder and tingling down my arm, yeah had 7 x-rays yesterday.......we'll see. This didn't take God by surprise so, why should I worry? I am going to do alot more container, and hanging baskets next. I love the different eye levels of flowers instead of always looking down.
This is a mixture of 4 different types of Coleus.....

Still loving this volunteer Cypress Vine that I trained to just a piece of wood that you can no longer see, I have to prune this every other day. The Hummingbirds and Butterflies love it!

You'll soon see I love Sweet Potato Vines, you can buy one four inch pot and continue to root it in water the entire season....(my neighbor actually gave me two small cuttings and now I have it hanging in about 4 different areas and growing in the ground up a trellis like this one)

A hanging basket filled with "Blackie" Sweet Potato Vine, Blue Daze, Pink Blush and Purple Pinta hiding in there, there's also Sedum hanging in there somewhere.

This hanging basket is above the photo below with Sweet Potato Vine and Wondering Jew.

And this is a container sitting on the ground with Sweet Potato Vine, White Caladiums and Coleus. I sure need to mow...pushing the mower around these flowers and up and down the hills in our yard is a little tough on the arm. Pray if you feel led to. Hubby offered to mow........umm, no, not close to the flowers..........He has his own area to mow!

I love all your containers especially the one with the different coleous. Just beautiful. I enjoyed seeing your potato vine as I didn't grow any this year. Usually I do petunias with potato vines in containers by my front door but this year I decided to just do ferns.

You have wonderful hanging plants & vines. I love the Cypress Vine, I plan on growing that next year especially for the hummers. :) I hope your neck feels better soon. Your garden is quite lovely with all the blooms right now.

I'm also a big fan of Cypress Vine. I currently have one that I think will eventually take over the yard. I like that I don't have to plant it every year, it comes back wherever it wants.

I also love Ornamental Sweet Potato. I have a pot of Blackie growing now. Last year I had Chartreuse (sp?), Tricolor and Blackie. :-)

You taught me something, Darla. I have a cypress vine and had no idea what it was. Hubby got it from his sister, we moved with the seeds (I think that's how he had it) to Va. and planted it alongside a fence in the yard. First year it was fine then it disappeared. About six years later we saw this vine again. Guess it went south for the winter and decided to stay. Had no idea where it had been all that time. But, it is flourishing and filled with flowers.

Love this series. If the little red flower is what I think it is, you are REAL close. Can't tell for sure, but it looks like what we call Hummingbird Vine.

Not sure if I will be able to check my home email until Sat, not at home this week. Buying a laptop, but won't get until next week. I will reply as soon as I see it.

The Sweet Potato Vine is great- I've seen them here- I'll have to give them a second look. The picture with all the trees in the background is wonderful- It looks as though you have your own forest back there! I had a similar one growing up- you've got me all nostalgic now!

Thanks for the recent visit to my blog. Your collection of plants is wonderful!

So sorry to hear about your challenges. Apparently lots of us have something to pray for. I just try to keep my eyes on what he's getting me ready for than concentrating on the pain my problems cause me, it helps me to stay more optimistic.

Hi, I am sorry about your neck! I totally relate to being unable to just do what you want to do! Your hanging plants are a delight! I have come to really love the sweet potato vines! I wasn't sure I would but they are so versatile...on the ground in a container!
