This probably doesn't look like much work, do you have any idea how much grass I got up today? This is only part of what I did, I get busy and forget to take pictures. The first picture as you can tell is on top of the hill in our front yard. I am trying to do a flower bed around the edge of the front yard by the street.

I've been there and done that. :-) You know what they say? I always wished I could slow down too. Now I have had to because I wore myself out. Take a break now and then. :-) Your flower beds look great!

I know what you mean about all that work. We have 6 acres and it is a full time job. Your flower beds are looking great.

I hope you are relaxing today after all that work! I did just a tiny area today and I'm wore out! Wish you were a neighbor so I could share some plants! Can't wait to see the finished project! Jean

rHi Darla,
Wow, you really did a lot of work! This spring I dug up a bed where it had never been dug and I had to do just two or three feet per day! I think my shoulder is still hurting because of it. Are you going to put any kind of border around the beds to keep the grass out? I haven't put a border around mine yet but I want to do so before the grass creeps in again. I like what you did with that stone border/retaining wall around some of your plants! Take it easy and don't over do yourself!

Anybody that knows anything about flower beds can tell you have worked very hard. It is still so hot, not sure how you stand it out there long enough to accomplish that much. Atta boy!

I know how much work that is. When I first moved in my house the back yard was all grass and I had to dig up grass to make my flower beds.
