Beautiful... I've never seen the first one before. Is it a bush, a vine or just a flower. You have such a green thumb.

I love dianthus; I have some in my front yard.

Loropetalum are new to me; pretty!

I haven't seen the Loropetalum before, it looks lovely. I've always loved dianthus, the flowers are so pretty.

That is a new one on me, Loropetalum. It's sure is difference and I like it.

Loropetalum is a shrub you can prune it to whaterver size you like, some are very very tall and wide. They are burgandy greenish colored leaves with the little pink flowers. Mine are still in the pot, can't decide where I want to put them.

Lovely Darla! I have a few Loropetalum that have this fantastic hot pink colored bloom. They are quite delightful. Dianthus on the other hand doesn't like my clay soil! What's your secret? Gail

I saw Loropetalum at Lowes yesterday, but it wasn't blooming. What a fantastic bloom and the foliage is lovely too. I might have to add that wonderful plant to my wishlist. :) Dianthus is so great for the fall garden. It will last here from Fall through late Spring when it gets hot.
