Bloomin' Tuesday...

Well I don't have a big show of flowers in any one place, what I do have is small splashes of color throughout. Here goes.....
Pink Verbena still going strong.
A different color Dianthus from the one I posted last time.
I have three of these Pineapple Sage, (my first year with them) they are wonderful!
Struggling Petunias.

I have cut these Mums back twice already. I thought they were finished and then I found this just now.
A different color Pansy, usually I post the purple, white and yellow ones.
Asparagus Fern berries.
This is interesting, the miniature Azalea blooming with green leaves to the right and leaves turning fall colors to the left.

And this.......everytime I go in Lowes to look at the Christmas Cactus rack, I look on the floor to see if any have broken off, yep! I'm rooting some from the floor at Lowes!! My husband said, "they are only four dollars." I said, "What's the fun in that?"

I really like that red dianthus - but all your flowers are wonderful!

Aren't you smart to check the floor for pieces of the Christmas cactus!?!? At the nursery we have had customers ask us if they could carry out pieces of broken plants too! I call that SMART!!!

I love that red dianthus too. I have almost no red in my garden. I plan to change that next spring by adding lots.

That's interesting about the cactus rooting.

Love the little Christmas Cactus starts. I've got mine outside and it isn't doing much. I am thinking it might do better as a houseplant but since most of my plants die if I bring them inside, its a real dilemma! I love the Pineapple Sage- I killed a little one of those earlier this year- yours makes me want to try again.

These photos were wonderful. It's nice to know that somewhere, something is blooming! I loved the Pineapple Sage -- if I had to pick a favorite, that would be it!

Sounds like something my hubby would say!!! They just don't understand, do they??? Buying the plant (even though it's cheap) isn't nearly as much fun as rooting it from scratch!!!!

It's horribly windy on the plateau today.. The high winds (over 30 mph) woke us up at 6 a.m. I'm afraid that it will blow my garland and bows OFF of the deck. AND the poor birdies---they can't stay at the feeder for long without getting blown away!!!! Yow!
Hugs,
Betsy

I always hit my local nursery up for cuttings, too. Glad to know I'm not the only one that takes enjoyment from watching them grow.

And we want to see this Christmas cactus next year, with a reminder it was the one you started from a dropped piece at Lowe's. I bought a new color, creamed color. Yep, I paid.

Hi Darla, OK I am going to start checking the floor at Lowes too! Your flowers all look wonderful! Still lots of color!
That vine I have is in the sun. I was told those pea pods are seeds for that plant. Send me your address and I will mail you one. Also I still have not figured out how to take shoots from my Bird Of Paradise plants yet. I still haven't forgotten to send you one!
Love, Ann

Super photos as always! I never knew asparagus fern had berries. A little color all over is better than all white any day! I hope you can make it 4 weeks with no Bloomin' Tuesday! Jean

Wow! What a nice group of flowers you have blooming! I have had some visitors to my blog from your blog roll. How cool! How do you set that up? I'd like to have one like yours in my side bar, too.

I'm behind in my reading, but need to take myself to bed. I'm intrigued by the previous post to this, but I'll have to come back, hopefully, tomorrow.

I do the same thing with cactus sections. There are usually pieces in the trays and on the floor in the big box nurseries. I asked one time if I could have them, and they looked at me like I was nuts! Your flowers are great. Love the red!
