Bloomin' Tuesday...

Well it's going to be sad if it's this close to spring and I loose the flowers that have been hanging on since this past summer. See, Jack Frost is coming for another visit the next three days, we may be flirting with the teens again. Oh, how I hope they are wrong!

Narcissus - Paperwhite just beginning to open.

Stock is so tired.
Don't believe I have posted these colors of my pansies lately, this is one of my favorites.
I know I have posted yellow, although I don't believe it was the one with these little brown lines in it's face.
Some of my white ones do not have the ruffles like this one. Isn't she pretty?
I know darn well this Dianthus - Sweet William was totally white when I planted it at the beginning of winter!
This Sedum is not bloomin', just wanted to show you how it continues to grow regardless of the freezing temps. I have not covered it at all. Does anyone know the type of Sedum it is?

Very wonderful! I hope Jack Frost does not take away your blooms. I bet they'll be okay. Don't know the type of sedum but it is pretty.

It is so neat to see flowers when everything is so dead here. We are suppose to get some more snow today. Yesterday was beautiful as the snow fell but it didn't last long. It suppose to be down to 19 degrees tonight. I am just about ready for spring!!!

Beautiful blooms Darla, hopefully the frost doesn't cause any damage in your garden. I'm going to try planting my Paperwhite bulbs that I forced indoors out in the garden this spring when they are done.

Ooooo! I'm in love! I bought some hyacinth last night at the market, only $1.99! I bought 4, in white! I love when flowers come in early! :) I bought some pansys last year that were supposed to come back this winter - but I'm not sure that they will. They're covered with a foot or more of snow right now! Yours are BEAUTIFUL! Happy Tuesday!

It's great to see some garden blooms! None are here, yet. Still just waiting...
I'm glad you posted these, Darla...they're the first flowers I've seen today:)

Darla, have you thought about clipping some of your paperwhite blooms and bringing them in the house with Mr. Frosty coming for a visit? The buds will still open inside.

I think your sedum is the cultivar "Angelina". I'm not sure but it looks very similar to that.

Don't you hate it when the poor things start blooming and get zapped? Such pretty blooms, the fresh AND the tired:)

Hi Little Florida Friend, I hope and pray that Jack Frost stays AWAY from you all in north Florida. Cover as much as you can... I'll pray for you and your gorgeous flowers.

Hugs,
Betsy

I don't think anything can be worse than losing flowers in bloom to frost. I hope Jack Frost stays away.

Hi Darla, I love all your blooms today. I just love pansies and mine are long gone from last year! I hope Mr. Jack Frost stays away from your lovely flowers. Don't you just hate him, wilting all the plants like frozen lettuce in the frig!
Love, Ann

I don't know about you but I'm ready for this cold weather to go away. We'll be getting right around 32 in the morning. I love that crisp white pansy.

Great shots. I sure hope you don't lose them. That would be a shame. :-(

I hope you are spared from too heavy of a frost. I love the paperwhite photos! Lovely. I answered your primrose question in my comments. Jean

Your favorite pansy is my favorite too! I love that color, but can't decide if it's red, dark pink or maroon.
Sedum doesn't grow well here, so I'm not familiar with it at all. Yours makes a nice hanging basket, regardless of the species!

Looks pretty, I hope the cold doesn't nip the blloms off. Thanks for visiting my blog again. Sorry you didn;t get much rain. I seem to live in between St. Augustine and most of Jacksonville that doesn;t get rain. I am in the middle of the two and normaly seem to get the rain, I guess lucky me. We ended up I saw with close to two inches, wow, was it raining hard.

Hi Darla, again you are displaying your wonderful flowers in all the colours of the rainbow. I am sure your garden is never without something flowering. I think your plant in the hanging pot is Sedum mexicanum with yellow star flowers. Very pretty, hardy and easy to propagate.

I think I would agree that your sedum might be Angelina. I used to have one outside and it hung around all year long. Love your pansies.

You have a lot going on there! I especially love the white Narcissus. I'm afraid we are still weeks away from seeing anything bloom here in NY (at least, in the ground!)

Darla: You are having a colder winter then normal but the flowers are still beautiful. The yellow pansie brought a smile to my face.

Hi Darla, oh I hope your flowers survive. We need to be able to visit you and see something blooming. Even our pansies are face down and sad, not dead but not blooming either. Your sedum looks like a S. rupestre 'Angelina'.

Darla, your beautiful pictures of the garden inspired my tablescape Tuesday night! I went out and bought some hyacinth and planted them in copper pales. Hope you can stop by and check it out! :)

Since I am reading this backwards I don't know if you lost the flowers or not. This is like watching the ballgame on replay and not letting anybody tell you who won.
