What's Going On In My Gardens Today?
Finally! Daffs have decided to make an appearance.
I have some more Narcissus-double Erlicheer ( Early Cheer) blooming.
Ah, more Paperwhites
I like this taller version of the Dianthus (Sweet William)
My wagon is filling out
and I just love Pansies in a hanger. I have been asked if these were silk flowers.
More Daffs on their way
My husband got a piece of this Azalea out of the backwoods and I rooted it last year!! It's still in the container on the back deck, guess it's time to find it's forever home.
How beautiful. I sure can't wait until we start seeing more signs of spring. Today it is pouring rain and I mean pouring rain and guess what we are doing.....going out of town for the day looking for a car with daughter!!! I am anxious to see what we get into now. I sure hope she gets one soon. I would have loved to have been home today. I love HOME when it rains!
My mother starts azaleas this way all the time-now you know where I got my interest in flowers. Just wish I had her green thumb, it is the greenest of anybody I know.
The beginning of Granny Sorrells' daffodils have started. The only ones blooming of the 1000s are on the bank. The sun hits them so hard. Yep, I said 1000s, that is a blog post for when they really start going.
It's all look great Darla. My garden just had some daffys begin blooming, cool season crops planted, and now it and the gardener are resting after a big storm last night.
Darla your green thumb must be very, very dark green. An azalea still in the pot from last year and now blooming? Mine would probably have given up the fight by now. I think that double blooming narcissus is just lovely. Thanks for sharing your pretty pictures! Have a great gardening day!
Your colors are glorious. It certainly looks like spring has arrived in your garden. I had no idea that an Azalea would root that easily. Love those daffodils!
I'm very glad to be able to visit the gardens on the blogs that are blooming because it will be a while before mine does. I would say my daffs and tulips are only an inch out of the ground, and I haven't seen any crocuses yet. I guess I should be grateful that at least the snow is melted. I love those double blooms.
Just mulch!, Mulch is happening in my garden. I love your little azalea--and free is better. All the bulbs look grand and Springy. Isn't this the best time to visit gardens and get inspired. We're all busy as beavers. I love it.
That little wagon of pansies is so classy and unique.
Oh Darla---I love seeing your beautiful flowers. Makes me YEARN for our flowers and our spring... It seems so far away--since they are now calling for snow here tomorrow night and Sunday. Hugs, Betsy
Wonderful flowers! Thanks for showing us! Do you ever put them on Today's Flowers? On a Sunday night? The icon is on the sidebar on my blog. By the way, thanks for your visit...glad you liked my skies!
Daffodils are always a welcome sight :) A neighbor has some that are blooming already. We have a few, but they haven't popped yet. Soon though, I think.
Darla, Your photos are beautiful. You've got a lot of bloomin' going on. And your potting shed is awesome. I can see why you didn't want to tear it down. It's much to structurally sound to destroy. Your paint colors and stenciling and window boxes...all very lovely and all the better because it's functional too.
WOW! My daffs are in a pot from the move last year, lots of green, and I'm hoping for blooms (but ATLEAST there is green:). Thank you for sharing your spring:)
I'm afraid I've been erasing your name by accident! I click on the names that comment on my blog via email and had no idea you were a different Darla.... does that make sense? LOL Anyway, I'm glad I clicked on the right one this time :)
Your blooms are beautiful! Nothing is happening here yet, but it won't until around march.

Be careful. Car shopping, don't care much for it. Such a big deal for the young ones though!!

My crocus' are blooming and the daffodils will soon be blooming. I can't wait!!
On Blooming Friday I have snow outside and three forced daffs inside, but I am enjoying all the blooms online.

It's spring veggie season! You don't plant any veggies?
Your wagon is shaping up to be stunning in another few weeks!

Hi Darla~
How exciting for you to have spring flowers! The Daffodils are so bright and cheery in color :)
Darla, Thanks for the hint of spring! The snow has been melting the last couple days but getting cold and more snow tonight. Great photos! Jean
Just beautiful! Daffodils in sunshine...nothing could say "spring" better.
My gardens are under a fresh 8 inches of snow that fell yesterday, and it is only 7 degrees for a high temp today.
I planted some of that Earlicheer at my mom's house, but something ate it up. Slugs, maybe? Sigh.
It's always so encouraging to see the spring bulbs come up every year.
I'm so jealous!!! And it looks as if that azalea likes your home. It, too, is beautiful.
Those photos are gorgeous - great flowers! Happy spring to you!
Jane

Well, since I'm behind in my reading, Friday, I had a few crocus blooms, but today, there are several inches of snow.
I love your blooms, and the paperwhites look like daffodils to me. Are they related?
