This has been the blue of our skies as of late.......reached 90 degrees yesterday! See the bird in the top of the tree? Wonder what it is? Double Knockout Roses to the left, Plumbago, Rosemary, Jane Cowell Hibiscus, Snapdragons and Petunias.

Great pics Darla. Your gardens look great and so full so early in the year. It'll be awesome during the summer months. We too are having real nice weather. The sky is such a nice shade of blue. Happy gardening... Becca and have a nice weekend.
I had a huge pileated woodpecker hopping around my backyard on Monday afternoon. I have seen them back there before, but never one that big! Not sure what that bird is up in your tree. It's a beautiful SkyWatch picture though! Can't believe it was 90 degrees yesterday!
I love woodpeckers. I don't know why. They are pretty neat if you ask me. You garden looks great. Have a great weekend...get out and garden!
Darla: Great photo for SWF but I don't know the bird. The flowers are lovely and that woodpecker is something I hope to see this year.
It looks like an eagle of some sort. Great blooms!
What a gorgeous garden; it must take a lot of work because the outcome is breathtaking!
Saw my first Pileated Woodpecker while in Michigan last summer. Looked almost prehistoric.
Hey Darla - check out my blog - you have an award.
Great photos!I think you have a hawk.I have one that justs comes and sits on a low branch whenever I'm out gardening. Then flies away when I'm done.Go figure.
Ok, I'm so drooling over your Painted Lady Hib header!!!
Loving spring in your garden (and hoping my morning glory and hy bean show up this year too:)
Darla, It appears that spring has sprung in your part of the word. How BEAUTIFUL!!!
My word verification is marryack... lol
You have a wonderful yard, Darla. It is so full of beautiful flowers and birds. I would love to have a nesting blue bird in my yard. You are so lucky! Thanks for your visit, have a nice weekend.
Hi Darla. I love all the photos! I have never seen a bird like that one. We don't have rose blooms yet so I will have to enjoy your for now. Thanks.

I agree the Pileated Woodpeckers are noisy, but still trying to capture a good photo. Not common at home, but they are in Cades Cove. Love the pic with the snapdragons in the background.

Gorgeous blooms Darla, your garden is really growing quickly. Thanks for reminding me I need to plant the Hyacinth Vine seeds that Brenda gave me last year. Oop! ;)
Hyacinth Bean Vine! I was thinking of growing that one myself.
Lovely as usual. The sky sure is a brilliant blue there.
I still have yet to see a pileated woodpecker. Maybe they don't homestead here.
Hi Darla~~ Nice blue sky. And your gardens are lovely!
I'm so jealous! You got a Pileated! I hope to see another one day and next time take it's pic.
I'm not sure what that bird is in your top photo either.
I love Hyacinth Bean... can't wait to see it later in the season!
You not only have beautiful blue skies, but beautiful flowers (and an interesting bird).
Beautiful pictures, Darla---all of them. That blue sky is so pretty! AND---I can't wait 'til all of our roses bloom... That's just SO special!!!!
Keep those beautiful flower pictures coming. I love 'em!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
Your range of flowers does attract all sorts of birds to the garden which as usual looks great
lovely photos, where I live, in Australia, morning glory is a dreaded weed.
Beautiful as always there!! How neat to have the woodpecker visit. We had one once and I was surprised at how big is was.
Looks as if you have a mockingbird -- when he flies, you'll see white on the tail if so -- they love to pose like that.
I love to hear the pock, pock of a woodpecker's call as he patrols the pecan trees looking for insects.
I really love those snap dragons! And neat photos of the Pileated! They are usually hard to photography since they are so shy! :)
Holy smokes you do have some beautiful birds and flowers.
