A Perfect Birthday!

Yesterday was my birthday, you already heard I know. Well the surprises just kept coming. When the girls and I returned home from Church my husband had already layed the stepping stones for my potting shed........(picture the flowers surrounding it)He had also made this stepping stone walkway down one of the hills that we live at the bottom of. Not a slope, a hill. At the bottom of this to the left is the door into the basement. Then around to the other side of the house, he put up the remaining piece of lattice from Saturday. Now I have a garden room. There is also half a whisky barrel to the right, (where will it live) the youngest bought for my birthday. To the right of the center tree is a double shepard's hook that one of the girls bought me. It will not stay there.
I also received this bird house, hubby mounted it on the end of the lattice wall.
The girls......ages, 24, 14, 12 and 10!
They talked me into a photo with them. I get my hair cut today!!!!!!!!! The 24 year old is a Hair Stylist in Daytona Beach.
This is our burst of sunshine!
I got so many gardening things between Christmas and my birthday, the ones mentioned here and then another bird feeder, bulbs (already in the ground) gloves, ID markers with a grease pencil, rubber boots.........on and on and on! Hey I then received a birthday cake after dinner last night.........I haven't had a birthday cake in 30 years!! Couldn't photograph it for the tears streaming down my face! I am a blessed woman.

Oh Darla, great pictures. I'm so glad you had a wonderful birthday. You ARE a blessed woman--and a beautiful one at that.

I know you'll love your little shed--and now you won't have to get all muddy going down there. Your hubby is a 'keeper' for sure!!!!!

We're headed to Hendersonville, TN to check on George's elderly parents today. Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy

Darla, I'm glad you had a happy birthday! Your hubby was a busy guy to get all that work done! You're going to love having that shed with the walk. Three hatching of Bluebirds raised in our birdhouse like yours last year. You and all your girls are beautiful!! Have a great day!

That is a Bluebird house. Will you have Bluebirds? Or will something else use it? You will have to let us know come spring.

Your potting shed is coming along.

That is a really cute pic of you and the girls.

I can't believe how the potting shed is looking already. The paver walk looks great.

I'm looking forward to seeing the final product in the spring. I can see it now with all the beauty that will be surrounding it.

Happy Belated Birthday! (We are almost birthday twins and lucky you getting icecream cake!) It sure looks like you had a wonderful day with family and your gifts are awesome. (and you don't look old enough to have a 24 yr old) I can just picture that beautiful little potting shed with flowers around it and climbing flowers on all your new lattice. Do clematis grow in FL? They are one of my new favorite flowers, such beautiful big blooms.

Aren't birthdays fun? Your family did a great job choosing gifts, and your shed and garden areas are looking great, but I want to see picks of them through the spring and summer as different flowers are blooming.

Oh, and I love that photo of you and your daughters!

Happy New Year!

Sue
