That is one big grasshopper. I see lots of them that size at work too! Glad they are there and not in my yard. Is your new flower bed in mostly shade or sun? Are all those trees in your yard? Good for your hubbie helping you out like that!

Hey with all that hopping around I'm sure the little critter has to keep his legs in tip top shape!

Your grasshopper is very pretty w/ his green colors! And nice to see your hummingbird!

I hope you are feeling better. I know all about those neck and shoulder pains. I think it is from too much work. I think my hummingbirds are already gone. I haven't saw any in a few days. I will miss them but before we blink an eye it will be spring again.

Oh my gosh - I don't know how you can get so close to all those bugs! Beautiful pics, as always!!!

Hi Darla, Is that a foliage eating grasshopper? We have HUUUUUGE Eastern Lubbers down south of you and I'm not ashamed to say I've taken photos and then I quickly eliminate them with my hand pruners... one snip at the nape of the neck. They are voracious destroyers of all things leafy.

Do you know what kind your acrobatically skilled one is?

These are great shots! He's definitely keeping up on his exercising!

By the way - I love your shots of the Walking Stick in the next post too! I posted a Walking Stick for my CC on Misty's Words, but it is a different species of Walking Stick than yours. Yours is what I remember from my childhood - thanks for the memories.
