Walking Stick...?

I was just about to put my hand in this container of Aloe to see if I needed to divide some of it when I almost grabbed this stick! (you know the drill by now, click to get a birds eye view)

Okay, so my question is, Is that his head or tail? Does he have eyes? Those things are the funniest looking insects. I have never seen one up close and personal. Glad you didn't pick him up or you would have.

OK - this guy definitely falls into the category of "bugs that give me the willies!"

Your shots are so clear and amazing - what camera do you use?

It's amazing to me that something this skinny is alive and walking around!

i love these creatures and photograph them recently too.
i was afraid to touch them but my dh said they don't bite so i since have rescued a few that the dogs would have gotten and put them in my wildflower garden. it was kinda neat to hold one. they move slowly.

Great shots here and for Camera Critters. Such interesting little creatures, albeit 'strange'--and truly something I don't see very often. Thanks for sharing!
