Buckeye Butterfly?
I just went outside to gather some more flowers seeds and HAD to run back inside to grab the camera. Isn't this a Buckeye Butterfly?Pretty "cool" to see any type of butterflies this late in November.

What a charming little visitor! Wish I could help with the identity. :)
I just made the pictures big so the girls could see them because they LOVE butterflies! (Why I never thought of this before?)
They stared and smiled ... Katie said "buttafye" and Maddie said "Hello, mother - I believe that is a butterfly. The browns and golds go well together."
OK - she really didn't say that - but she thought it.
Rosemarie, we also have an overthinker in our home as well. Glad they enjoyed the buttafye. My girls love looking throught all of the photos on the blogs!
Darla: Certainly has the Buckeye colors, the fancy Buckeye wings and the little Buckeye orbs on the wings. I wish I would have seen one up here in Buckeye country.
I just love butterflies. I am still working on you tagging me. Your story was so interesting. Mine would be boring but I will do it in the next few days. I do so appreciate you thinking of me though. I hope you won't be disappointed.
It certainly looks like a buckeye, Darla. I'm no expert on them because I'm never seen one in my yard. It's beautiful! Thanksgiving blessing to you and your family!
Wow---what a gorgeous butterfly. I don't know one from the other---so you could call it Pete or Petunia and I wouldn't know the difference!!! ha.. Beautiful though!!
