Bloomin' Tuesday...

Well this was a surprise! Everyone knows since the passing of my Mom some 5 years ago I have been slowing moving her flowers to my gardens. Last summer I caught my Dad mowing down some Gerbera Daisies. I potted up 5 and brought them home, well low and behold they are beginning to bloom! Ms. Doris bought me a Ragin' Cajun Ruella. Grows about 18" is heat and drought tolerant once established.
A wider view of part of my large full sun garden.
Butterfly Bush is beginning to bloom, it needs to hurry because I am starting to see Butterflies and Hummingbirds.
Clematis at the mailbox has a huge bud on it.

This is part of the garden on the curve of our yard by the road.
The red brick castle wall garden under the big Oak and Dogwood Tree.
Between the castle wall and the red potting shed are our fruit trees. We have blooms on the Tangerine, Grapefruit and Peach Trees. Can't wait for all of the millions of seeds that I have planted in my gardens to grow. I have three other flower gardens plus a veggie garden that I did not photo. All of our veggies are up!! I also have flower seeds, peppers and tomato seeds starting on the upper back deck............It's getting busy around here.

To join the fun click on the Boomin' Tuesday Banner to the right of my page!!! Today is my Dad's 74th Birthday, off to make Banana Pudding with GREEN Topping!

It's wonderful to have some reminders of your Mom's garden.

You're at least 6 weeks ahead of us as far as blooming plants.

What a beautiful yard. It takes a lot of work for it to look so pretty. I love the flower bed by the tree with the brick border. Enjoy the St Patricks Day Nanner Pudding.

Your Gardens are beautiful. I envy beautiful yards and gardens, they are so peaceful, but yet so much work. I struggle with the simple landscaping I have, but dream of more.

Thanks for sharing ......Linda @ Kindlelight Blessings

It looks so great there. How great that your Mom's Gerberas are blooming. Our butterfly bush barely has a leaf on it, let alone a bud.

The Gerbera Daisy is a beautiful color. Can't decide if it's dark pink or fuschia.
You have such a great variety of plants I had to look again as to where you live. I did this before when you mentioned citrus! Although your climate is similar, you can grow far more things there because there's some humidity. Lucky you!

Darla: What a wonderful thing to do to remember Mom. Each time it blooms you will think of her.

Bet the green topping gets them every year. Not sure what the eyes would do to the taste buds....

The yard is really looking good. I also have peach blooms and apricot blooms. The cold hasn't gotten them yet, and it is just going to be in the 40s tonight. 72 tomorrow. WooHoo!

Happy birthday to your dad? I love banana pudding too. Your gardens are gorgeous. And you are already seeing hummingbirds. I guess I might need to fix my feeders because surely they will come here soon. I saw where we both won something. Isn't that neat that we won together.

Hi Darla~~ It looks like you're well on your way to a blousy, beautiful landscape. Your mom's Gebera is to die for. The color is stunning.

Hi Darla, happy birthday to your Dad! I love that ruellia, that is my favorite color, didn't know they came in anything but pinks and purples. I know the pain of your loss will never go away, I have a pain like that also, but the blooming gerbera is a wonderful reminder of a loved one.

you cannt have anything better than flowers that probably should have died, but came back AND from someone you love that originally planted them.

Your yard is absolutely beautiful and how wonderful you can be there to enjoy it and take care of it.

HI Darla and it's so nice to meet you! Oh, the gerber daisy is just beautiful and glad you got some before you Dad mowed them down! :)
All your flowers are about to burst open! Can't wait to see them all singing to the heavens!
Thanks for stoppiing in for a visit today and I hope you'll come back again.
Be a sweetie,

I AM WAY JEALOUS of your weather and your flower beds. I think I just have spring fever. We still have a little snow on the ground and the flower beds are still covered with mulch from the cold weather. Love all your beds what a beautiful spot you have. Thanks for sharing.

Wow - what a beautiful blooming garden!!! I lost my dad a few years ago and I know what it's like to see little reminders around the yard of a parent who has passed away. It's nice, but bittersweet...

I love Gerbera's!! They're so cheerful!
