Bloomin' Tuesday...Part ll

You will have to excuse my excitement, I am home alone and a real girlie squeal about a new bloom is not as affective without someone here to hear it..My husband will hear it when he gets home, by then it will be ready to burst out of me!
I posted questions about the Nasturtium in my first Bloomin' Tuesday Post, well in preparing for the very ugly weather we are supposed to be getting I was taking down my hanging baskets to put on the front porch...........and look, look, just look!

and I found three more buds!
This is the other type that I have that was not on the earlier post. This foliage is reddish burgandy on the back and tips with the leaves a greenish blue. Red flowers. Empress of India.

That's verbena in the basket with it and the Lord only knows what the little tidbits of green are.

Now I'm jealous :) Enough blooms for two posts! I can't believe you have nasturtiums blooming. I won't even plant those seeds for a couple of months. Enjoy all your pretty flowers!

You have the magic touch!!!

Have you eaten any of these nasturtiums yet? They are very spicy and peppery.

That's so great. I don't blame you for wanting to scream. I probably would have done the same thing... and probably have.

OH YES.... HOW EXCITING!! Just in time for Bloom Tuesday. I have a few new varieties of Nasturtium to plant this year. I can't wait to share them on my blog.
Happy Spring - Can't wait to stop back to see that beautiful plant in full bloom.

It is exciting! I love Nasturtiums (to look at, not to eat, as I've never tasted one). It's still a bit early for me to plant them, so I have time to zip out to the nursery & try to track down some 'Empress of India" seeds. The foliage alone makes it worth growing.

I think I heard you here in Ga.! I bet you were excited. We have had so much rain, I can't even get out to take pictures. My bff Vicki came today to visit and she was talking about how excited her and her hubby are when they see new buds and flowers. We are the same way! So listen real good and you will hear us yelling too. Ha!

Well, that did it. Looking at your photos put me over the edge. I don't often get TOO dissatisfied with where I live, but I'm ready to move after looking at all the things you have blooming in your garden. All I have is brown grass and snow! Ugh!

That Empress of India is an interesting Nasturtium. I hope you show the flower when it finally blooms.

I love blogging where 'others' understand the 'found a bloom' rejoicing!!
My poor hubby just looks and smiles, kind, but really not that interested.
So, I am WHOOPING with you! (WOOHOO)
I have heard these do great in garden repelling pests. I think these might do well early spring or early fall. Might just have to try them.

Ouuu!!! That's such a pretty plump bud! I have no luck with nasturtiums! They seem to be so prolific for everyone else.
