Wordless Wednesday -- Sort of...

My other gardening friend and I took her sister's truck to the Nursery in the next town and got one scoop of potting soil for $20.00 that's a lot of bagged soil for almost $10.00 bucks a bag!

I just love getting a load of dirt, can't believe you can fill up a pickup for $20, my Mom and I did that last year and split it, it really goes a long way, but it's a lot of work, thank goodness for a good wheel barrow!

Thank you for your encouraging words. The Lord healed me from migraines one year, 5 months ago, after suffering from them for 18 years. I'll have to write a testomony of that healing someday.
I need that dirt for my new garden bed I'm gonna make. Must be sunny there today, its storming and raining here. Hugs, Rosemarie

We have been up to the same thing.
As soon as it drys up a bit we will start to plant.

That is a lot for $20. You will have fun potting up a lot of plants!

Yes it is! Happy planting!

That's enough soil to keep you occupied for a long time. Super good price.

I need to do this. I have no topsoil to speak of. It would be a lot easier than working one little section at a time.

Looks like you got a bargain there, I hope you had willing helpers and wheelbarrows to take it off and put it where you need it.

ooooh I see a big flowering project coming on. My daughter could make great mud pies with all that dirt. LOL!

I always buy my dirt, mulch etc.. in bulk. Our city makes compost & mulch and sells it for around $15.00 a load. Very cost effective way when you have as many beds as I do. ;)

That looks like some really nice, rich soil Darla. What a great buy!

I paid $350.00 for that much potting soil/garden soil at my former home summer before last (NC). I don't see how they can sell it so cheap. I'm green with envy. How is your back?

Hi Darla, there is nothing like a pickup truck for piles of mulch, soil, etc. The only thing better is a friend with such a truck willing to let you dirty it up with that precious cargo. Yum, it looks fabulous too. That is even more exciting than seeing it filled with plants. To some of us, anyway! :-)

This is heavenly! We have a place to do this nearby, just gotta get the hubs to empty his stuff out of the truck bed:)
