Bloomin' Tuesday...

These are some of the flowers I have blooming this morning. They are predicating that Jack Frost is on his way and apparently is going to make himself at home for a few days. The majority of the plants that I have blooming, the frost is supposed to kill back only the blooms and not the plant itself. We will see about that. I'm sure it depends on how cold it gets and for how long. Don't get me wrong, there are a few things I will be covering up this afternoon. To see more Bloomin' Tuesday photos click on the Bloomin' Tuesday Banner to the right of my page.
Petunias

Snapdragons, you can see the Ornamental Kale and the Candytuft to the top right of this photo. The green clumps in the left are Daisy Mums and the little pink is one of the Stock. There is also Iris blades and Freesia blades in there too.
Snapdragon in front of the Rosemary with a little lonely Pansy to the left.

Pansies

White Dianthus or Sweet William

Rudbeckia, this little lady bloomed right above the ground.

I better go turn on the weather and see if I need to be doing the same as you and getting some things covered up. Hopefully my new seedlings will be okay....

Love all your photos. I haven't had snapdragons for a long time and love them. I think I'll have to plant some in a few months!

Oh I like the snapdragons. Yellow and blue flowers call to me!

She bloomed right on top of the ground because she wanted to stay warm. How long does a petunia plant live if it is not taken by cold weather?

Just went to your profile, not sure I had really looked at it before. Found three interesting facts.

1) You just started your blog in August-guess about the time we found each other.

2) You say you live in Flowerville LOL-love that one

3) You don't follow any blog in the 'Blogs I follow' at your profile. I find this such a handy tool, it surprises me that you don't use it.

Leedra- I keep looking at the blogs I follow, guess you confirmed I should do something about that. We plant petunia's in the fall, the last until it's extremly hot and then cut them back water good and they come back within a month. I say you can keep them year round if you take good care of them. The frost only kills the blooms not the plant on those. I think you were the second blog I visited and I fell in love with your blog and I am still following you!!

Hi Darla, what a cheerful post. Next fall I'm saving some annuals to grow on the windowsill.

I agree with Leedra. Before I got the blog updates tool, I wasted hours visiting blogs that hadn't posted since my last visit. Very useful. It takes a few minutes to set up, then add your favorite blogs as you visit them;)

Oh Darla, I hope your beautiful flowers don't get killed by this upcoming upcoming arctic front. I remember in April of 2007--we had a week of hard freezes. We had had a warm March--so most of our spring flowers had started blooming. We tried to cover everything we could--but this freeze killed alot of stuff that year. NO FUN!!!!

Good Luck!!! I love seeing your flowers especially this time of year when we don't have any. Even our Pansies are struggling up here this year.

I agree with Leedra. The Blogger tool is WONDERFUL. It lets you know when someone posts something new--so you don't have to check out blogs not knowing what has or has not been posted. It saves me TONS of time.

Hugs,
Betsy

My blog list gets updated as soon as someone posts a new post on their blog, doesn't 'blogs I follow' do the same thing?

Beautiful! Snowing here - with about 12" still on the ground - gaining more as I type. Looking at these flowers helps propell me into thoughts of summer! YAY!

Hi Darla, I do hope your plants don't suffer too much damage with the coming cold. We are supposed to get it also, with temps down to single digits, there may be some losses with that, we shall see.

This is quite amazing to see such gorgeous blooms at this time of year. Helps offset the greyness here.

I hope your plants do OK tonight. They sure are looking good! I love stock. I don't grow it every year. It's not supposed to like our hot dry summers. Some years it does better than others, but the smell is wonderful!

I love seeing all your beautiful blooms! You certainly have a lot going on. The pansies make me smile. The planting kit looks great. I might have to look for one. Hope the frost doesn't ruin too much. Jean

I hope that your flowers are doing okay.

I read in your profile how you feel in your garden. It reminded me of the cross stitch that I am making for my mom. I posted a picture today on my blog. It reads "One is nearer to God's heart in a garden than anywhere else on earth."

Better late than never on my Bloomin' Tuesday visits! Your flowers are lovely. I'm surprised so many are blooming--we are kind of in a lull here before the big burst of wildflowers in February/March. We haven't had any frost to date, so at least we have nice foliage!
